Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite

Posted by in Les Paul Guitars

The Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite is a real treat on the shoulders. It’s chambered body actually has balsa wood on parts to make it lighter… and it is much lighter! Gibson calls the balsa “chromyte,” but c’mon, let’s call it for what it is.

Much like the regular LP Studio, the Lite doesn’t have any binding or fancy appointments… it’s a little light on looks and as heavy on tone as possible for a guitar in this price range.

Die hard Les Paul aficionados may consider the Lite to be more of a “beginner” Les Paul, but these guitars are are high end. The Studio Lite represents the lower end of the LP spectrum, but will still be of higher quality than most Epiphone Les Pauls you will find out there.
